The School of Sound and Screen Arts at Sapir Academic College was the first to combine academic studies alongside a specialization in television studies, with an emphasis on developing and producing quality and innovative content.
This year, the Southern Film Festival which will take place from October 17 to 21, 2021 is holding a festive event for the first time in which students will present various projects for the development of television and network series on which they have worked for the past two years, accompanied by their teachers. The projects will be presented to TV industry leaders, producers, creators, fund managers, and broadcasters. The event will be joined by Katia Kirby, Artistic Director at the International TV Series Festival SERIES MANIA, which is considered the most prestigious and important festival in the world in its field. Her presence in Israel is supported by the French Institute of Israel.
The Pitching TV event, open to everyone, is supervised by Dr. Itai Harlap, Head of Television studies at the School of Sound and Screen Arts, Sapir Academic College.
